Knowing natural back pain history is important. Back has generally has good prognosis. Most back pain episodes are mild and rarely requires care especially first ones. 🤓 Back-related leg pain prognosis is different from just back pain. 😏 Radiculopathy may last for months up to 1 year for the majority. Interestingly, those with the belief that their back pain will last a long time recover very slowly! 😞 so catastrophizing negatively impacts recovery. One common source of back pain are disc herniations. Most discs heal with time! So you really don't have to worry.🙂 Physio is only recommended after 3-4 weeks of continuous pain. Proper patient education and exercise may help! 👍 MRIs may show a disc herniation, but many MRIs will show herniations on asymptomatic subjects so...😒 Bottom line: don't let the picture on tests define you.
